About Us

Our mission

We are on a mission to solve the broken educational system. Current vocational schools are expensive and take anywhere from 2 - 4 years to complete. That is precious time you could be using to get out into the workforce and jump start your career. Especially since the diesel mechanic industry is experiencing a shortage of skilled technicians.

THE DIESEL MECHANIC INDUSTRY IS EXPERIENCING A SHORTAGE OF SKILLED TECHNICIANS

12%

Percentage employment growth projected for diesel service technicians and mechanics between 2014 and 2024.

67,000

Technicians needed to replace retiring workers.

75,000

New mechanics needed to meet additional demand by 2022.

Employers are looking for hard working, competent diesel mechanics. But curriculum at most vocational diesel training schools includes unnecessary knowledge that you don’t need to learn in order to secure an entry level job. As a result, you are being setup for failure.
At Diesel Training Northwest we do things little differently. We believe in the power of rolling up your sleeves and doing the work the right way and in an efficient manner. That includes a 10 week course where you come out having actually done the work necessary to land an entry level diesel mechanic job and thrive in that position. In fact, we have employers that actively visit and hire directly from the class. On top of that, techs that graduate make an average of $11k more after graduating.

how we started

The diesel technician shortage impacts our business at Equipment Experts, Inc. We’ve experienced the challenges of finding new techs, so we decided to help fix the problem ourselves.

We founded Diesel Training Northwest, in partnership with American Diesel Training Centers, in order to reinvent the way that diesel technician talent is discovered, trained, and sourced to employers.

ADTC's hundreds of graduates work for over 100 transportation companies
around the United States. We are a part of the fastest growing diesel
technician training program in the U.S.
